Top Ten Tuesday #20: Series with more than 3 books

Top Ten Tuesday this week is about

Series with more than 3 books
(In no particular order)

1. Gentleman Bastard series by Scott Lynch. It's like Ocean Eleven combined with Game of Thrones, just so epic and awesome (three books published - ongoing).

2.  Harry Potter series by J.K. RowlingHow could I NOT include Harry Potter? It's basically a  Bible for bookworms (seven books published - complete).

3. Seven Realms series by Cinda Chima Williams. Fun, exciting, romantic (four books published - complete)!

4. Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. One of my favourite fantasy series at the moment (three books published - ongoing).

5.  Lunar Chronicles by Marissa MeyerI didn't use to like retellings, but Meyer definitely changed that (three books published - ongoing).

6. Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I have to admit that I've read only the first three books, but they were so thrilling, sexy, and fun to read that I had to include Lux (five books published - complete).

7.  A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. Who doesn't love A Song of Ice and Fire (five books published - ongoing)

8.   The Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. I binge read this series in a matter of weeks, it just absorbed you in with all it got (four books published - complete). There also is a companion series called The Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten which focuses on the main character's little brother.

9.  Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. Well-build storyline and world-building are two of my favourite things, along with kickass characters - and you can find them all in Mistborn (four books published - ongoing).

10. Vampire Academy series by Richelle MeadI haven't finished this series yet, but it's so promising and I'm going to binge read the series in the summer (six books published - complete). Bloodlines is a companion series to Vampire Academy.

  1. I love a long series with more than three books. Sometimes three books just isn't enough and you're left wanting more! I'm so glad Throne of Glass is going to be this epic six book series; there's so much Maas can do with the story, it's going to be immense! A Song of Ice and Fire & Harry Potter are great examples too - amazing, amazing series! I really need to sink my teeth into the Seven Realms series - heard such great things about Cinda Chima Williams' books! Great choice this week :)

    1. I'm so with you on Throne of Glass! Three wonderful books still to come, and it's going to be so enjoyable journey with Maas's writing! So many interesting things can happen (and will happen), and I'm not sure if I'm going be happy or excruciated after the series finishes. Thanks for commenting and stopping by Becca! :)

  2. I've got one series to read that has 15 books plus short stories in it so I hope they are all good! (Morganville Vampires) I used to read Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake series but I quit around 15 books. It's now up at 23 with book 24 this summer!

    1. Whoa, 15 books is a lot of pages to read! But I suppose it's only a plus if the series is good :) I quite enjoy reading series that has multiple books, but if there are over 20 books I think I would a bit discouraged to even start. :/

  3. There are a ton of these I haven't read! I'm also reading a series with a TON of books! The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan is a 15 book series (including the prequel) and I'm on book 7! I've been reading it slowly over several years. Great list! :)

    Here are my Top Ten!

    1. 15 books definitely is a long series, but it doesn't matter when the plot is good and the characters awesome. :) Thanks for stopping by Tracy!

  4. Seven Realms!! I love that series so very muchly. So excited for the companion/sequel series that is coming out. I miss this world so much. And this is the year in which I'll finally finish Vampire Academy. I started in 2010 and binged on the first 4 books and then stopped...because endings, they are so hard!! But I read Spirit Bound last month and am gearing up to read Last Sacrifice soon. I can do this...I can!
