It's Saturday and so it's time for Stacking the Shelves!
Here's what I managed to get my hands on:
Paperbacks:
The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephanie Meyer
The Name of the Wind (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #1) by Patrick Rothfuss
NetGalley:
The Troop by Nick Cutter
To be honest, I have already read The Host once, and I have a copy of it at my parents, but I saw this lonely paperback at the bookstore and I just had to buy it. I really loved it when I read it over a year ago, so I'm hoping I'll like it as much as I did back then.
I'm a huge fan of high fantasy so we'll see how The Name of the Wind turns out to be! I have read plenty of good reviews, so it better be epic!
Have you read any of these or planning to? Did I buy and get good ones this week?
Hi there, Sofia. Out of your 3 lovelies, I am only familiar with The Host. But it's still buried under my TBR pile and just thinking about them makes me want to cringe. *sighs*
ReplyDeleteHave fun reading! Thanks for stopping by my STS.
New follower on twitter and bloglovin by the way. :D
Thoughts and Pens
I hope you manage to clear some time for The Host because at least I really enjoyed it. :) Thanks for the follow, I followed you back on twitter. :)
DeleteI really like The Host. I much preferred it to Twilight. I hope you enjoy your books you've got this week.
ReplyDeleteSame here! Even though I love Twilight Saga when I was 16, I don't really care for it too much. The Host on the other hand was a pleasant surprise. :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteOld follower. I didn't really care for The Host. Maybe you will like it. Patrick Rothfuss's books are always good and interesting.

I liked The Host, but I seem to like every other book that has some sort of sci-fi element to them. :) I'm really looking forward to Rothfuss's book, so I hope it will be as great I imagine it to be!
DeleteThanks for stopping by and commenting. :)
I actually liked The Host even thought I really didn't get on with Twilight. I hope you enjoy all your books.
ReplyDeleteThe same happened to me too. :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI really liked The Host more than the Twilight series. I haven't heard of the other books before, but I hope you enjoy them! :)

It seems that everyone liked The Host better than Twilight. :D I can't really argue against as I agree with it. :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI'm in the middle of reading the Twilight series as a 'readalong/let's read" but I haven't decided whether I'll read "the host" yet. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteTsuki’s STS
The Host is pretty different from Twilight, so please don't decide whether or not to read it based on your experiences with Twilight. :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
Although I love the Twilight saga, I've never read The Host, I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for stopping by :)
ReplyDeleteI have already read it once before, and I did enjoy it back then. Hopefully this time too. :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI need to read The Name of the Wind someday. The Host, too! And I hope we both enjoy The Troop. I'm looking forward to big scares.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting.

DeleteHah! :) I completely understand buying books that you already have, because they're looking a little lonely in the store! :D
ReplyDeleteEnjoy The Host (again), and I'm going to look up the other two books you have! :)
Thank you for also visiting! <3
I have a copy of The Host, but I haven't gotten to it yet. It sounds good though. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteMy STS.
It is good, I have read it once before! :) You should get to it as well asap. ;) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteOoh, I haven't read Patrick Rothfuss's books, but I've heard absolutely amazing things about his writing. I really need to read The Name of the Wind soon! Hope you enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteSame here! I think I need to read it before the uni starts again. :) Thanks for stopping by!
