Stacking the Shelves (#4)

It's Saturday and so it's time for Stacking the Shelves!
Here's what I managed to get my hands on:

Paperbacks:

The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephanie Meyer
The Name of the Wind  (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #1) by Patrick Rothfuss

NetGalley:

The Troop by Nick Cutter

To  be honest, I have already read The Host once, and I have a copy of it at my parents, but I saw this lonely paperback at the bookstore and I just had to buy it. I really loved it when I read it over a year ago, so I'm hoping I'll like it as much as I did back then.

I'm a huge fan of high fantasy so we'll see how The Name of the Wind turns out to be! I have read plenty of good reviews, so it better be epic!

Have you read any of these or planning to? Did I buy and get good ones this week?

  1. Hi there, Sofia. Out of your 3 lovelies, I am only familiar with The Host. But it's still buried under my TBR pile and just thinking about them makes me want to cringe. *sighs*

Have fun reading! Thanks for stopping by my STS.

New follower on twitter and bloglovin by the way. :D

    1. Same here! Even though I love Twilight Saga when I was 16, I don't really care for it too much. The Host on the other hand was a pleasant surprise. :) Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Old follower. I didn't really care for The Host. Maybe you will like it. Patrick Rothfuss's books are always good and interesting.

    1. I liked The Host, but I seem to like every other book that has some sort of sci-fi element to them. :) I'm really looking forward to Rothfuss's book, so I hope it will be as great I imagine it to be!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. :)

  6. I'm in the middle of reading the Twilight series as a 'readalong/let's read" but I haven't decided whether I'll read "the host" yet. Happy reading.

    1. The Host is pretty different from Twilight, so please don't decide whether or not to read it based on your experiences with Twilight. :)

      Thanks for stopping by!

  10. Hah! :) I completely understand buying books that you already have, because they're looking a little lonely in the store! :D

Enjoy The Host (again), and I'm going to look up the other two books you have! :)

Thank you for also visiting! <3
